A bomb blast has occurred in Damaturu, the Yobe state capital, as Muslim faithful prepared to go to eid ground for prayers.
A resident told PREMIUM TIMES that the blast occurred at an area called Gwange early on Friday.
“I have not gone to the site yet myself, but I surely heard the loud blast. Those coming from the area said it was a bomb inside a Keke NAPEP that exploded, ” he said.
He however, could not confirm casualty figure at the moment.
” I can see security agents and medical aid workers heading to Gwange now, ” he said.
