R&B and hip-hop artist Chris Brown will have to answer to a judge in court regarding claims made by Nia Guzman, the mother of his 1-year-old daughter, Royalty.
According to court documents, Nia says Royalty has developed asthma due to second-hand smoke inhalation. Nia claims the toddler – who is featured in the “Little More” video from Chris’ top selling album Royalty – comes back from visits with her weed-and-tobacco-loving dad “reeking of smoke.”
Nia wants Chris to be ordered by law to:
- Take random drug tests
- Prohibit him from using drugs or drinking alcohol when he is with Royalty
- Stop him from smoking around the little girl.
In response, Chris shared then deleted a lengthy Instagram post which said:

Raising children in separate homes definitely has its share of challenges. Hoping they can work this out.
